What’s better than celebrating new years with your friends and family? Getting married on the same day of course! Lauren and Ryan traveled up from California with their closest friends and family and made an epic trip out of their wedding weekend.
They decided on the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler for their wedding as it has so many beautiful options for the different parts of their wedding. The rustic feel to the different spaces, and being surrounded by the epic nature of Whistler gave the perfect backdrop to showcase the Pacific Northwest to all their friends.
One of our favourite parts of this wedding was when Lauren and Ryan exchanged their own personal vows in private. We knew they wanted something amazing for the backdrop and the dock at Nita Lake was the perfect spot! After the cutest first look in the snow, these two said their private vows to each other. It was the sweetest moment to witness and document. Much like how a first look allows you to experience that moment in private without the eyes of all your friends and family on you, the personal vows shared like this offers that same feeling. You get to express your truest feelings and not be worried that your mother-in-law will hear you say how cute you think your significant others butt is 😉
After making it official in the Istken Hall at the SLCC, they headed upstairs for dinner and speeches in the Great Hall. The Istken Hall also mad death perfect intimate space for them to dance the night away. They set up a bar and lounge just outside the bar so people could mingle and chat, and when the mood hit could head right onto the dance floor!
Ringing in the New Year after just getting married so much fun and we highly recommend it!
