Wedding Day Tip #4 - Consider an engagement sessio Wedding Day Tip #4 - Consider an engagement session. The two main things we think make an engagement session worth it are 1) Get comfortable with your photographer. With how they direct and how they guide. And of course get comfortable being in front of the camera. For most, it's not something one does everyday, being photographed, so spending time with your photographer before your wedding day can really make a difference. 2) Get some photos somewhere you can't get to on your wedding day. Think somewhere special, somewhere remote or even a place that's too casual for a wedding day but that you love //
A lot of trust goes into hiring a photographer for A lot of trust goes into hiring a photographer for your wedding day so we want to acknowledge and thank our couples for not only trusting us, but believing in what we do and how we do it. Couples always say to us, "we don't know what we're doing, we're going to be awkward", but they trust us and the process and we feel that we have always delivered in capturing the best in them ❤️//
Still to this day, one of our favourite moments ca Still to this day, one of our favourite moments caught on camera. We were out beyond the cover of the trees on a cold and rainy day, when suddenly this huge and I mean huge gust of wind came roaring in. Our instinct was to run for cover but some how we got off a few frames. We huddled under the trees while we all laughed hysterically at the moment that just happened. Definitely one of our favourite moments on a wedding day!! P.s. Can you see the umbrella? //

Come see if off camera flash can add a dynamic look to our dance floor photos

Hey, we’re Jeff and Cat, a husband and wife photography team.

You can usually find us shooting with direct flash, but last week we wanted to try something new. We were looking for something different and dynamic, and decided on placing two flashes on light stands on opposite sides of the dance floor.

We were really happy with the outcome, it definitely has a bit of a studio vibe, with most of the images having a distinct key light, and a rim light that made everyone pop.

An unexpected plus we experienced was how much easier it was to catch the moments and be more a part of the experience. With the bright pops of flash coming from the side lines now, the attention was totally taken away from us.

Hopeful you found this tip helpful. If you’d like to learn more about wedding photography, editing and the business behind it all, make sure to give us a follow.

Wedding Day Tip #3 - Make a list with all the comb Wedding Day Tip #3 - Make a list with all the combinations of family photographs you'd like on the day. It's something that most family members want but it doesn't have to take a lot of time to do. When provided, we print out the list ahead of time and use it to keep the family photo sesh rolling and efficient. Plus you can have the confidence that we're getting all the groupings you requested rather than stressing that someone wasn't included or having to keep track of what groups you've already done //
Wedding Day Tip #2 - if you're not sure what to we Wedding Day Tip #2 - if you're not sure what to wear, you can not and I mean CAN NOT go wrong with a black suit and bow tie, it's classic but continues to look so damn good! //
