With the world of weddings in Vancouver being shut down for months, one of our favourite decor companies in the city decided they wanted to do something for the industry – So they created a series of pop up events! For each event they chose a wedding venue within Vancouver, styled it as if it were a micro wedding, brought in florals, cocktails, catering and a photographer, and viola! You have yourself a pop up event!

This has been the perfect way for Bespoke Decor to showcase their new inventory, to bring a sense of community into the wedding industry, and an amazing way for venues, florists, caterers and photographers to show to the world what they can do!

Each pop up hosted an ‘industry night’ with timed slots where you could go and visit the space with a few other people, try some food, have a cocktail, and perhaps learn something new about a vendor you’ve never worked with before! The rest of the week that the event is on at each venue was made available for the public to come and view by appointment (again, to make sure we al stay socially distant!).

We were very lucky to be asked to photograph the pop up event hosted at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver – one of our favourite wedding venues on the north shore! And as a bonus, the space was designed by Ashton – one of our dear friends, and the main boss babe at Bespoke.

We are so in love with all the fall colours she used for this event. The rust, deep green, and subtle pink are an amazing colour combo, and were so beautifully accented by the florals brought in by Blossom and Vine.

Ashton wanted to create something a little different for the ceremony spot, not only did she create a circular space (which we LOVE), but she also hung one of their wooden backdrops from the ceiling! This was such an amazing wow factor when we walked in the space!

The sweetheart table had to be my favourite. The rust coloured drapery that hung not only behind, but above as well was so beautiful, and such a unique way of taking something that’s usually used to cover up a wall and making it into a feature! Plus I just love a table full of candles a little vases.

Next we have to talk about the food. Chef Jason at Cocktails and Canapés made two amazing duck dishes for us. The amount of care and detail that goes into each dish is unbelievable. Truly an amazing artistic ability!

We feel so lucky to be a part of an amazing community like this. Having these little events go on each week has been a great way for us all to bring a little bit of ‘normal’ back into our lives. And being at the shoot for half a day was so invigorating!

Thank you again to the amazing team that made this all happen!
