While planning a wedding during a pandemic is no one’s idea of a good time, we recommend considering the risks involved. Government mandates, regulations and the ever developing state of the pandemic pose many obstacles that might interfere or even prohibit your desired plans. Rules involving, but not limited to, the total number of guests allowed, social distancing, travel restrictions, border closures, venue capacities, and most importantly health and safety of guests etc.

If Covid-19 affects your wedding day plans you can adjust with the following flexible Date Change Policy.

Date Change Policy Terms

  1. The Date Change Fee is equal to $XXX. Due when canceling your original agreement and booking a new date.
  2. For wedding dates between March 1st 2020 – March 1st 2022, that were booked with us between Jan 1st 2020 – Jan 31st 2021, will be allowed a $0 one-time change fee waiver for date changes.
  3. Date change must be requested more than 45 days prior to the wedding date. For changes within 45 days of the wedding date, the standard cancelation policy as outlined in the agreement applies.
  4. Value of booking fees already paid will be kept on file as a credit and will be valid for 24 months from the original wedding date, and can be used towards booking a new date.
  5. Booking fees and credit can not be used as payment of change fees.
  6. We must be available for the event new date, otherwise all amounts paid remain non-refundable and cannot be used in the future as credit. Availability includes travel time; we are considered unavailable if the travel time/distance/logistics required for it prevents us from photographing another event that is already booked.
  7. When it comes to high season wedding dates (Saturdays, holidays and long weekends between May and September) it is understood that we cannot guarantee that the two of us will both be available for that date, however there will always be two photographers (one of us plus an associate photographer of our choice)
  8. We will both be available like usual for low season weddings dates in January, February, March, April, October, November, December as well as non-holiday weekdays and non-long weekend Sundays during high season months.
  9. There is no limit to the number of times a wedding can be changed, but a new change fee will be due each time the date of your wedding is changed
  10. The one-time change fee waiver policy can only be applied once per couple (ie. if you have already received a one-time change fee waiver, regardless of any new photography service agreement, you may not apply for another)

As a small business we are doing our best to make decisions that serve our clients today as well as into the future. The pandemic has had an overwhelming negative financial effect on our company, however we believe that in the best interest of maintaining the quality of service and ensuring our couples an exceptional experience in the future that our COVID-19 Date Change Policy is both fair and equitable.
