Pia and Julian travelled all the way from Manilla for their wedding in Whistler, BC. Their celebration actually lasted two days, but we’re just going to show the first day here (day two coming soon!). Their event was hosted at the Audain Art Gallery in Whister, one of our favourite places for a wedding – the architecture, the black lines with wooden accents, and the blank space inside make for the best photographs!

We started their morning as they got ready at the Fairmont Chateau in the village. The ceremony of Julian having his turban being put on was amazing to watch – such an awesome process!

Once ready we headed over to the Audain for their ceremony. It was so beautiful seeing the different aspects of Pia’s culture and everyone was moved to tears by the beautiful words said.

The fun thing about Pia and Julian’s first day of wedding celebrations is that they made both a lunch and evening reception! They chose the most beautiful decor for their lunch – we were in love with the blues and graphic nature of the table cloths, and their vibrant florals stood our perfectly against the black of the building.

Later in the day everyone arrived back at the Audain Art Gallery for the evening reception. It included henna for all the guests, a bangle bar, special performances from family and friends, and an all around good time.

This day was so special and all the guests had a blast. The best part? There was part two the next day!

Of course this day could not have been possible without the amazing vendor team. A huge thank you to them all for helping the day run smoothly.
