We’ve put together a list of our top ten venues in Vancouver to hopefully help you in your search for the perfect one for your wedding day!
This list is not ranked from our most favourite to least. We love all these places equally! Each location listed below has a link to a more in depth article we’ve written about why we love it so much. (If the link isn’t there, it’s coming soon!)
1. The Pipeshop – North Vancouver
The Pipe Shop at the Shipyards is a spectacular 9,300 sq. ft. restored heritage building on the City’s waterfront. You might be wondering why it’s called the “Pipe Shop”? This venue was originally built in the 1940s, and was once known as the Pipefitters building, where ships pipe systems were laid out for new ships. The beautiful high ceilings, wood beams, and concrete floors make this a spectacular venue. It’s large open floor plan means there are so many options for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing! Take a look at Ashton and Charlie’s full wedding gallery here.
2. The Polygon Gallery – North Vancouver
The Polygon Gallery is a new venue on the scene. In fact, they just celebrated their one-year anniversary in the fall of 2018! It is a spectacular event venue with views of the city skyline and a clean, contemporary design. The beautiful balcony is the perfect space for your ceremony and boasts the most amazing view of downtown Vancouver. It’s also the perfect place for cocktails! The white walls of the event space are the perfect blank slate for your wedding design! Your guests will be wowed with the design of the building when they arrive – it’s so unique and contemporary!
3. The Vancouver Club – Downtown Vancouver
If you’re looking for a venue that is the perfect blend of elegance and urban heritage, then the Vancouver Club is the space for you. It has so many beautiful rooms for all the different parts of your day. The Georgian Room is perfect to get ready in, and later for your cocktail hour. The University Rooms are beautiful for your ceremony. And the stunning Ballroom is the best space for your reception. The beautiful heritage look and feel of all the buildings is nothing that any other venue in Vancouver provides. Plus, the food is really good! 4. Sunwolf – Squamish
The rustic Sunwolf resort in Brackendale, British Columbia at the convergence of the Cheakamus and Cheekeye Rivers is an undiscovered gem. If you envision getting married in the forest, then this is the perfect venue for you. Say your “I do’s” while surrounded by nature, then have dinner and dance the night way under the stars. Plus, the cabins on site are super adorable! Check out Alix and Paul’s Sunwolf wedding here.
5. Cheakamus Centre – Squamish
The Cheakamus Centre is a venue unlike any other. We like to describe it as a modern tree house in the forest! There are two beautiful ceremony spots – by the lake, or amongst the trees. Their inside venue space is a beautiful wooden ‘tree house’ with large windows lining every wall, so you really do feel like you are in the treetops while you eat your dinner and celebrate with your friends and family.
6. Sea to Sky Gondola – Squamish
The Sea to Sky Gondola’s location and elevation is the picture-perfect venue to provide a true Sea to Sky Experience. With breathtaking panoramic views of the coastal mountain range, the Stawamus Chief, and Howe Sound, the Summit Lodge at the top of the gondola is an unbeatable location to have your wedding. And who doesn’t want to walk across a suspension bridge to get to their ceremony?! View Jenna and Ryan’s Sea to Sky Gondola wedding here.
7. The Brew Creek Centre – Whistler
The Brew Creek Centre is a secluded sanctuary in an intimate, exclusive forest setting. Your guests will stay on site in one of their beautiful ‘log cabin’ buildings, and celebrate with you the whole weekend! There are so many options for your ceremony location – both inside and out. And their reception space is the perfect blend of modern and rustic. They also grow a lot of their own food, which is amazing! Their chef is fantastic and we’ve eaten some of the most delicious lamb we’ve ever tasted there. Take a look at Lauren and Ben’s wedding gallery here.
8. North Arm Farm – Pemberton
Really nothing can beat North Arm Farm for it’s spectacular mountain views. You will literally get married and then eat dinner at the base of Mount Currie! They are a working farm and have the perfect open barn for you to end your evening dancing away in. It’s a little bit of a drive to get there from Vancouver but, in our opinion, it’s totally worth it!
9.Bodega Ridge – Galiano Island
Bodega Ridge Resort is a deluxe log-cabin venue on beautiful Galiano Island. Just a short ferry ride away from Vancouver, it provides the perfect weekend getaway for your wedding. Just imagine getting married a top a hill with panoramic views of the ocean, doing portraits with your love in their forest, and then eating delicious food.
